i cannot send sms

i cannot send sms from my thera, anyone can help me?
there's no option to do it in my messaging window and contact's options.
anyone knows if i need an upgrade of software?
the version of mine is 1.4.2.2

i hope that someone may help me thanks.

You could not send sms because yours is a SPRINT.

There is a way by flashing your sprint thera to a verizon thera.

I do believe its in this forum somewhere ... Sorry can't be much of a help since i dont have the software.
