Need help with Dial-Up Internet

Hey everyone. I have a concern that has already been dealt with a LOT in this forum, howerver, I still need some clarification and help. I've seen on posts that it is possible to use a dial-up internet account on the Thera. I've been trying to implement that over the past few days with no success with my home account. I've gone to Settings->Connections and created the connection. I used the Sierra Wireless Modem from the drop down menu, with a baud rate of 110 (as the Thera manual and Audiovox techs suggest). I've made sure that the area code is being dialed along with the actual ISP phone number. Still, I get "There is no answer at the number dialed. Verify the number and then try again....." Next, I tried to connect through the Data tab in Watcher. After placing the necessary information in the Connections fields, I get "There is no answer." I'm at a loss of what I am doing wrong. If ANYONE can help me, I will be very appreciative. To give you some other information that might be needed to help me out. I am using U.S. Cellular for my carrier. I have Verizon's Watcher. The device uses Sierra Wireless Modem (SB555 embedded module). Thanks in advance for any help that I'm able to get. God bless!

Hello,

I have not used the device in this manner. I have seen people say that it has worked for them before, however, I don't remember anyone posting the exact information. Anyone else here care to recap what HAS worked for them?

Sprint Block

I too have read through this entire forum, and used the search, and I cannot find any information on my similar problem. I have a toshiba 2032sp on U.S. Cellular in Chicago, and I cannot get the modem to dial out.

I've followed the instructions on other posts and all I can get is an error that says: "Data Service is disabled for this card. Please contact Sprint to correct the problem."

Please help me, I'm desparete.

Thank you.

I heard that some of the 2032Sp have some problems connecting to the internet. I assume that Sprint is locking the data only to their vision system. Anyone knows??
