How to Unlock for Us Cellular

Hello,
We got a used thera phone and are trying to program it to use on us cellular. We programmed it with the information below but when we go to call someone it says that this number is not recognized as a midwest wireless user and we want us cellular. So if any of you could help us out we would realy appreciate it. Jonathan

- From watcher (the phone app) switch to Keyboard input and press CTRL + D

- Enter advanced user password (##debug)

- From the newly acquired "Advanced" menu on the bottom of the screen, choose modem configuration.

- Enter modem configuration password (nozirevpst)

- Enter Service programming code (Default: 000000)

- Select CDMA tab

- Enter the following values into the fields:
Directory: <10 digit mobile number>
MCC: 310
11_12: 00
IMSI_S: <10 digit MSID>

- Select CDMA 2 Tab on the bottom
Enter your home SID and a NID of 65535

- If this is a verizon phone, all other settings can remain unchanged if you are activating this on US Cellular

I do wish you luck getting this activated on US Cellular, they have a strict policy against activating equipment from other carriers

Change the system selection to Cellular CDMA and see if that helps. If not, try Home Only. You wont be able to roam though..

If you put in your HOME SID and set the system to HOME ONLY it will work. The only way it wont is if you havent put your correct SID in.

setting the phone to HOME ONLY makes it only work on your home SID. if you have the SID right it will work. if it doesnt, you dont have the SID set right. If you tell me your city/state I can get your SID for you.

Sure, just as soon as I get a new battery. The current battery won't even power the unit on...

you need to call your cell company and give them the ESN. My ESN won't help you, as each one is different.

Well we tried that and they won't do it. So your saying the only way it will work is if they program the esn into their system. Thanks Jonathan

yes. thats how it works. you can have the phone set up perfectly, but without the ESN in USCC's system they won't acknowledge it. I hope you didn't buy it JUST for the phone features.. It's a bitch getting USCC to activate outside sourced equipment. I had to lie, cheat, and beg to get mine hooked up.

ssego, what did you tell the folks @ us cellular to get them to give you an activation code?

All I've been getting is..."well, we support audiovox, but not that model..."

Help!!!

Lie. tell them its an insurance replacement, and that its an audiovox 8910 or an LG VX6100. That way you can get the EasyEdge and Picture messaging to access the web.

I'm having the same problem. I have called repeatedly to ask US Cellular to help me get this working with my existing calling plan, and they wont do it. they have made every excuse in the world, none of which are valid.

Also, can you tell how you look up the SID? I live in the Tulsa, OK area, and will need my SID.
You can tell from my thread, just before this one, that I was given the Toshiba 2032SP and want to get it working with my existing US Cellular plan.

And, what's the ESN and how do I determine mine?
