THUMB keypad

dear people:

do you know if the thumb keypad currently sold for the xda II on ebay would work with our baby? i found the one sold by audiovox in an online canadian store, at almost 200 bux! the same item, for the xda II, sells for 30 bucks :/

i wonder if we ever are going to get a converged device with full support. ex-thera owners, do you know what i'm talking about?

Thanks!

audiovox link for the item:

sorry not on topic, but...

spidey how do you like the 6600? I am thinking of upgrading... is the phone any better? Is OS quicker? Any cool things added like incoming caller specific ringtones?

The 6600 is more robust and includes critical features (at least critical for me) that I needed - specifically, Bluetooth and keyboard. Mind u - i only use the built in keyboard if I am typing emails or more than a couple of lines of text anywhere. Otherwise, I revert to the on screen keyboard - i guess i am a creature of habit from the 5050. The 6600 has a much better phone in terms of answering and disconnecting calls. It is much quicker. I don't think it has caller specific ringtones or pictures, but there is plenty of 3rd party s/w available to accomplish these tasks. I love the removal of the antenna from this devise. Overall, a great device. The built-in camera comes inhandy ocassionally.
