will PPC 5050 work with fido

my boss recently got a new phone and gave me his ppc 5050 and i'd like to start to use it i'ts way cooler then my m505
i like all the fuctions and was wondering if i could get the phone to run with a fid0 simcard or maybe getting it unlocked

what network is it meant for? My 5050 is for bell, if yours is meant for bell than it definately won't work with fido

yeah it's ment for bell well that is just no fun
i was hoping i'd be able to get it to work well ill keep my eyes open for someone who may be able to hack it

you don't understand....

It is not a hacking issue, Fido is on a GSM network, Bell is on a CDMA network. Fido utilizes sim cards, Bell does not. That device you have will NEVER work on Fido. Your best bet is going to be either selling it, or switch your service over to Bell.

i love this thing so i think ill switch to bell
fido sucks anyways

I don't think you'll mind the switch, except for higher costing data plans. The Bell network is much wider, and 1x data speeds blow Fido/GSM away.
