Question End 1X connection

Does anyone know how I can end my 1x connection without turning on flight mode?
In the OS help files it says to "switch off" the connection, but I don't know how. (It is a Bell mobility PPC 5050 if that has any bearing on the matter)

Also I have configured it to check my e-mail every hour, is there any way to make it end the connection after the procedure is completed?

Thanks

I think all you need to do is press and hold the red "hang up" button until it shuts off.

Thanks

Thanks, that did the trick. Who would have thought that it was so easy?

Automatic Disconnect?

Isn't there a way to auto-disconnect?

Unfortunately, after the scheduled email checking, the connection is not dropped and thus will eat up my battery quite quickly - not to mention the fact that it will send all callers directly to vmail! There's no way I can remember every 15 minutes to hit the end call button.

Is there a setting to have the connection dropped after checking e-mail? Even an activity timeout would probably work.

Thanks,

Greg

Send a message via ICQ to FMJammo

I actually get connected all day long and i am able to receive calls with no problems; i didn't see a difference to the battery life too, connected to the internet or not.

Unhappy RE: End 1X connection

I have the same problem as Grigori on my Treo 600.

Anybody have an idea of how to disconnect from 1X network after the automatic email check. I think it is different if you are on a GSM of CDMA network.
