When i tap on the strenght signal icon in task bar, a pop-up appears, showing me a ''1X'' in a small black square, the problem is that ''1X'' don't appears every time i tap on signal strenght icon. What's going on?

It's a communication lag between the phone and the carrier's tower.

I am having this same problem, and it doesn't seem like a lag in the system to me..... I don't know what it is though, so I guess maybe, but it doesn't seem that way to me.

Finally, the 1x icon appears after a couple of hours. I think its a lag.........

The 1x icon seems show up sporadically for me. Some times it will show up for a few hours, but then be gone again for the rest of the day. I think it's been about 6 days since I've had it at all, and I've been in a 1x coverage area the entire time, including a few days where my phone never left home (so it would have never changed towers) . As the icon seems to show up intermittently on my phone, my problem doesn't seem like lag.
