headset for 5050

HELP, I have tried like 5 headsets and none (including the OEM) work very well.... they all either pickup a ton of background or you sound like you are at the bottom of a well... What are you guys using out there?

I've had the same problem. Peculiar isn't it..?

Have you gotten any beeping sounds while on a call? I get them once in a while every 2 or 3 seconds for the duration of the call. Enough to make me drive into a #$%$%^$% tree.

The headset that ships with the 5050 is fine in terms of functionality but lacks in sound quality. I find the music is devoid of any bass sound at all, and when useing a third party mp3 app. that has a "mega bass" feature, the sound tends to distort at medium to high volumes. I as well am looking for a better headset, preferably not the in the ear bud desighn.

The OEMs are great if you feel like frigging around for half an hour trying to cram these elephant plugs into your ear while driving...

Any other mic/phones combo I've tried have been a compromise with the PPC...

maybe it's me? But I sound like a echoy geek with 3rd party equip.

I use some from RS now and they work good 60% of the time.

good luck
