I have the laterst update of the rom and i cant overwrite the rilgsm.dll because it says is protected, any help would be greatly appreciated, i heard that flashing to the old rom would help as well.

A couple of months earlier, i know some of you guys were working on trying to cook a ROM with later versions of WM for the 4100. So i was just wondering if anyone did have a breakthrough in this! or have you already given up?

i think naack was on it a while ago ....

Loaded latest ROM from audiovox's website and unlock dll worked great. Seems to be runnin just fine.

Linux on SP230

Hi, i found this forum very interesting, maybe it is the best on this subject.

I use Linux as desktop os and since i bought sp230 (like ppc4100 but with numeric flip) i try to find a way to change the os of my handheld. But i found nothing on this item anywhere.

Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

i have tried a bunch of ties with verry little luck i cant spend more time on this i will tag u now and u can be it.

u can go to xda-developers. they go in more details on how things work and ucanprobably find a bunch of different os over there.

the 4100 is similar to the htc but not enough for you to apply any os on it.

as far as my testig goes. i have installed manay different os from xda but none worked with me. i only changed the rom part didnt touch the bootstrap and i wont. that would render your Pocket PC useless if it went wrog and the chances are probably high. i know verry little about the bootstrap and how it works. also if writes could be preformed with a corrupt bootstrap. i know its doable with one of the xda.

would you please send the ROM files for SP230... starting last week i cant connect activesync via USB or IR or internet.. however the PPC and phone is still working.. thus i think have to flash the ROM from the SD card for fresh install.

the Nyditot Virtual Display is graphics software that allows you to increase your screen resolution AND CHOICE OF ORIENTATION!

It was great for surfing the web (...once I bought a CF WiFi card for the x5)

When I got my ipaq rx 3115, it had 2003SE, so I didn't need the nyditot...

and forgot about it. (I sold the x5 and bought the 3115 on craigslist, before the free trial expired. I think it's about 20-30 bucks)


Now that I've got the ppc4100 (craigslist: $70), I downloaded the trial again.

I am also looking for the English ROM file. I have a 4100 with a Chinese ROM which I would like to update.

Ive looked everywhere but cant find it.

Ive tried the update via USB (with the file on the AudioVox site) but it wont work so I need the SD update (ie the nb0 files)

I hope someone can help.

naack, Please give another link of nb0 file ! Folder that you posted is empty now .I have a problem whit one dead ppc 4100 that not coresponding with usb , i need a nb0 file to load from SD this is onli way .Please help
