Ok update on my case I realized when you click on one part it combines all 4 so I got the nb0 file extracted. So far so good now I need to figure out how I use this file. oh boy naack will be pissed after all the things he go through I can't even figure out what to do with this file.

I will try my best but if somebody help me before I figure it out that would be great. Thanks.

PS: just to be sure this is the unlocked version of the rom am I correct. What happened to the plan for 2003 se or 2005 rom is there any news on that.

Thanks a bunch naack, I will try and report any findings.

There is one question though, is it possible to load the anextek 230 rom into the 4100? I wonder what effects it would have on the 4100.

Therefore, we are seeking a volunteer to help dumping the rom of anextek.

cheers....

no problem guys. well this is the unlocked version yes.

the only thing u would ha veto do is to slap it onan empty sd card and boot with the bootstrap. it will do everything on its own.

now about 2003 se and wm05 i cant get the thing to work on it and i am not willing to change the bootstrap if someone has the gutts to do that go right ahead
i wont unless i can find the jtag ports for the flash ram.

the flash chips are the ones with ball contacts i cant program those if they were a tsop package i would go right aghead i wont be too afraid of killing it.

there is the dataport from the bottom and i think we should be able to have access to the bootstrap from there but then again never know.

if someone can get the pinout for the audiovox data port maybe someone with more knowledge can diffure out how to read and write directly to the flash without using the os.

ok boot with bootstrap ? As far as I understand from the massages I read I will copy the nb0 on to a SD card and put the PDA on the cradel (rocker ?) and reset it. Is this true?

If not How do you activate the bootstrap.

I feel like idiot

i guess u didnt folow this thread. it was posted twice already.

press and hold the rocker. the rocker being the jog dial or whatever u want to call it. and then press reset u will get a funky looking screen and it will actually say bootstrap so u click on that part unless u feel like checking any other options

audiovox says that u should use and empty sd card they say its better but i have used one that was crammed with lots of crap and it was a 512 it worked not saying u should do that cuz the pda was reallybuggy after that. so i flaashed it again. might have to do it a couple of times till u get everything properly.
