4.0.1 messed up my 3Gs

so i decided to try out the 4.0.1 the other day and havnt had any good results. Ive had all kinds of problems mainly with multitasking. Streaming pandora over bluetooth speakers and trying to find driving directions my phone took at least 15 seconds to respond to any touch at all. i backed out to the home screen and tried to close a few apps thinging i was overloading it but only had 3 apps running and it wouldn't let me close them. sometimes when closing more than 5 apps it starts to freeze up on me also. has anyone else had any of these results? i'm gonna stop by the apple store and see what they can tell me in the morning. i also try to reboot my phone about once a night so i don't think i'm overloading the ram or anything.

Almost forgot. After the big crash during restart there was a status bar and it reset my sound and screen settings to default and would not pick up network signal for 5 minutes or so.

Mine constantly gets sluggish. I have system monitor on mine and it frees up the memory. I don't see how to "close" app. The last 4 apps imwas in always show no matter how long ago I was in it. That's been my biggest issue with 4 on my 3gs

To close an app just open the multitasking bar and hold down and hit the - sign on the top left of the app in the multitasking bar exactly like your deleting an app. And if you swipe the multitasking bar to the left you will notice you are running more than 4 apps. And an update my phone has gotten sluggish again since the restore. I'm thinking it's happening because I'm not resetting my phone every day??? Every other smartphone I've ever had it was mandatory to reset at least once a day... I'm gonna try resetting every day and see if that will help me out.

Hahahahaha!!!!!!!! This is awesome. The irony is I just reset my phone and it gave me the message when I started it up "to rearrange items on your home screen" and it reset all of my @$&%#*£ settings. I had to put my battery percentage back up top. Had to reset my screen brightness settings, and probably more I havnt discovered... Am I doing something wrong? I'm holding down the home button and the power until I power down. Once I have powered down for 30 sec. or so I power up and get this rubbish. I may have to make a trip by apple to see what they say.

Hey there thanks for the tip on closing the multi task items. That helped. I beleive this had made a difference and goes a little further than what the "system activity monitor" app was. I'll test a few things. This also made me aware of all the apps kids were playing with.
