How to mask that you're surfing from iPhone?

I've searched here and many other places... is there a way to trick
websites that can identify your coming from an iPhone? There are many many sites (and growing) that auto-direct me to the "m." or "mobile." page whether I want it or not... Sometimes I don't!

Any thoughts? suggestions?

Under WinMo, this would be easy to do. It is a simple registry hack.

Not sure how you would achieve this on the iPhone. Web sites recognize the iPhone from the information included in what's called the 'UserAgent' field. This value is sent by the browser. It can be overridden within most browsers but the iPhone UI does not give you that ability. You would probably have to SSH into the OS to make this change, oer perhaps if your iPhone is jailbroken, there is a JB app that you can install to do this for you.
