BlackRain Brick

So I was on 3.0 and JB.

I finally decided to move forward and I think I bricked the phone?
I "restored" to the 3.1.2 and then synced.
Then I ran BlackRain and "let it rain" or "make it rain"

Told me I had to restore (thought it was just informational as I had just done that).

Sat there for like 5 minutes which is much longer than the 10 seconds I expected. So I unplugged the phone and BlackRain said "Done, waiting for reboot" and iTunes lost it. Windows doesn't see it as anything but an unknown device. The device is indicating I need to plug it in to iTunes (via a USB plug and an iTunes icon and an arrow).

What now?

Help?

Plug it in and open iTunes and then try blackra1n again

If that does not work, do a restore again and run blackra1n again....if you have the connect icons up it is not bricked. Worst case scenario set it up as a new phone and start from scratch and then blackra1n. Not sure why it did not work....I have read people have had issues where they have had to blackra1n a couple times and then it works. Google issues with blackra1n and I am sure you will find some suggestions.

Also keep in mind that sometimes the phone needs to be plugged into the wall or socket and NOT to the usb port for electricity. I dont understand why, but I have had the itunes message and once I plug it to the wall and reset it (power and home at the same time for 10 seconds), then it fixes the problem.

Yeah, not sure. It was certainly not as easy as advertised by others, but I am a relative Noob at JB.

I finally got it working after some ritual dancing and incantations. Seriously, I tried it like three times and it finally worked.

USB doesn't work like it did before with Pwnage. I couldn't use iPhoneBrowser. Had to go SSH over wireless.
