The original voice dialing program only works with the 3GS so I am assuming the BT voice dialing program likewise only works with the 3GS. I have not yet updated my wife's iPhone 3G. If I get a chance, perhaps I will give it a go this week and then can confirm that voice activated dialing is only available with the 3GS and not the 3G.
What I am wondering is whether Apple changed the BT stack on the 3G so a third party developer could come in and create a voice activated dialing program for the 3G.

That's what I have been trying to say/ask for my last couple of posts.
I hope the BT stack has changed and now someone can write voice activation sw for jail broken devices.
The apple store wont sell it becuse it will compete with the iphone 3GS.
Glad I could help out.

/sigh... don't want to go to 3Gs just yet as my 3G is working perfectly fine.... Just 3.0 is a battery drain so 3.1 should fix that from what I hear. With the dev team having big trouble w/ the JB for 3.x (winterboard etc...) I need my fully functional JB but Voice Activated dialing is something I do so dearly miss from the 6800 days...
