I have yet to purchase an hands free car kit since I think I want to wait and see what other options are out there, but I have already purchased a mount for my phone. The May I suggest the magnetic mounts work great -- I have had no problems with my phone - the best part is that the magnet is on the mount, while only a slim piece of steel is stuck on the phone, which allows it to fit in any kind of pouch (like the Kyocera factory pouch) if I wish to protect it while traveling.

To clarify I went to a professional car audio installation store and had them install a bracket that specifically fits my car - it cost me $30 but is well worth it as it is black unobtrusive, and I stuck the magnet right on it -- once I decide on a car kit I can adapt accordingly.
