I have been away for quite awhile due to work and family stuff going on... it was refreshing to come back and see this article. I know I have been very happy with my
iPhone (now
iPhone 3Gs) with my ifrogz orange metallic cover. The apps I use most frequently are DirecTV NFL Mobile (gotta have my NFL Sunday Ticket!) and the DirecTV remote DVR tool, Alarm.com's remote home monitoring tool, FOX Sports and USA Today for news and info, ebay and PayPal, the Citrix client and eWallet, and a bunch of games and fun stuff. (Six pages of icons.)
I am looking at possibly getting a golf GPS app, and am also looking at the TomTom app.
In terms of the comment about business tools... I want a phone that ISN'T a business tool. I like the bulletproof phone, music player and web device all in one unit. It does my NON-WORK email well. I like the threaded texting. Most of my IT co-workers are using an
iPhone now... that should say something about it. And the cool thing... it has evolved to be able to be a business tool if one chooses through the addition of new apps every day. And integration with Exchange helps too.
But as we always say, the customer has choices. You don't have to choose the
iPhone... there are lots of other options out there.
