I've been thinking about getting a second battery also for when I need juice and can't take the time to charge. Jim, I recall you buying one of those AC adapters with a side charge for a spare battery. Did that work out for and you are still using it?

Yes, I use the Boxwave cradle with spare battery charger weekly - but only as a spare battery charger while I'm still using the phone. If I go on a trip, I may charge both the phone and a spare battery together overnight but paradoxically I never have used it as a synching cradle!

My statements on Adrynalyne's v1.7 ROM are very subjective. With the original ROM, my phone would discharge quite a bit during the day just sitting around in my office. So who knows. School's out for the summer mostly. Maybe it's easier to get a signal from the nearest tower or Vzw's cranked up the signal strength a bit. But for whatever reason, my phone is not discharging much just sitting around during the day now. I also thought v1.4 was an improvement. Didn't stick with 1.5 or 1.6 long enough to notice much. Does seem like v1.7 terminates an EVDO data connection very quickly when it's no longer needed.
