it really cant hurt to try - but i would guess that no, it's not possible. I would expect that there is some SIM filtering that says "this username/pass is associated with this SIM which is associated with these services." it's probably something close to that, and you can dial up on your phone because the carrier cannot differentiate between DUN and regular data calls.
