I make use of SKTools on an almost daily basis for a variety of things. Even the free trial version will allow you to do a full system backup. Check it out here: SKTools features

As I travel a bit and switch batteries, sometimes my 6600 kicks a hard reset (it's not always amenable to battery switching). It actually happened this morning, and I restored my backup and had everything (literally everything) back on my unit within 90 seconds.

The key is diligence. I did the backup this morning on the train, and had a hard reset not two hours later. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, I'm thankful for this utility. Also note that SKTools creates an executable file on your SD card, so you can restore on the fly.
