If you have one of the following programs and have successfully restored everything using a VZW i910 Omnia can you quickly mention which one, whether it installs programs, and whether it worked for you in general. Any other thoughts are welcome as well. Thanks.

BTW, why can't I just copy every single file on my Omnia using ActiveSync? Wouldn't this be the same thing, but free?
I know Sprite Mobile Backup works. I've done a complete restore 4 or 5 times. You could check out the trial version of each program, see what it's limits are. Since Sprite Backup works, if you can do a full restore from that within 15 days, you could then try backing up and restoring your Omnia with each of the others. Get the one that works best for you. If nothing else, you should be able to restore your Omnia as it was before you started testing programs with Sprite.

I haven't backed up using Active Sync for a long time but when I look in Windows Mobile Device Center in Windows 7, there is the following message:

4/20/2007
Backing up and restoring information is available only for devices running Windows Mobile 2003 or Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition software.

A WM backup program also allows you to backup your device when you are not around your desktop PC by backing up to \My Storage or the micro SD card. The former is ~2x faster, the latter will survive a hardware failure other than crushing the entire phone.
