you can use anything for a ringtone with some creativity because you can just connect your phone to your computer and copy over basically any sound file or song to be a ring tone. I haven't bought one single ringtone for my phone. I just cut snippets of songs I like and copy them to my phone's ringtone folder.

BTW, I know I'm late to this thread, but, I was under the impression that the apps at the apple Iphone store cost you money?
