I have this problem too. Not sure of what the cause is. I have to hit the end button to fix it

I don't have many programs installed. PocketPutty, SmartIRC.net, SkyFire.

I do happen to leave the SmartIRC and Opera running in the background a lot. Perhaps one of those?

I think it *may* also happen if you get multiple texts at once but I cannot confirm.
