I think the lights are coming on about alarms.

So with G-alarm I set my volume very very low and set an alarm to escalate in volume. Then the random beeps are too quiet to wake me, yet the alarm will work its way up to full value. Is that right?

My practice to avoid the nighttime beeps has been to set the phone to vibrate or silent mode, and I've never figured out how to make the alarm come on when I've turned off the sound. (Or maybe just been too afraid to experiment much.)

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I'll be trying this out with G-Alarm on my next business trip!
