I have given up on the migrate and have done it the old fashioned way thru the storage card cabs and activesync. Took a while but Got 'er Done. Thanks for all your help.
Great forum!

I upgraded from Sprite Backup v6.5.2 to v6.5.4. I installed to \My Storage (repeatedly). Each attempt met with the message that the install was unsuccessful. Yet I can launch and run Sprite Backup. I launched the desktop Sprite Backup Manager and started a backup through Active Syn to my desktop. It worked and the main hangup was Active Sync failed after the soft reset done to run Sprite in Safe Mode with competing processess killed. The work around is just to unplug your USB cable for some period of time, plug it back in and hope it kicks Active Stink back into life (another thread complaining about Active Stink is here
http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/samsu...after-bit.html
Had to do this both for the backup itself and to get the report on the desktop at the completion of backup when the Omnia resets again.
Used the Sprite Explorer to browse my backup to my desktop, open an Excel spreadsheet of gym workouts, etc.
So Sprite Backup v6.5.4 works with an Omnia i910. Just takes some patience to outwait Active Stink. Good for making lots of coffee or having a beer or two or three.
The Sprite folks probably need to clean up their act a bit, too. Who knows what the unsuccessful install message really means? Maybe I'll find out someday.
