those estimates are basically not real world pda usage estimates.

I wouldn't consider PDA usage as requiring data and email. I use a lot of my phone's "PDA" features that don't require data to be used. Such as MS Office, e-book readers, etc. etc.
You're just as bad as Verizon, assuming I'm going to be using data simply because I buy a PDA phone
