ive noticed the battery life take a huge hit if your phoen is constantly swtiching between evdo and 1x. where i live i dont get the best signal so at home it constantly fluctuates between the two and i am lucky to get more than a few hours on it if i am on it making tweaks, etc.

the weird thing is that ill get the low battery reminder beep when its like at 50% and then within like 15 minutes its down to like 20%.

when i am at work where the signal is strong and i am getting full EVDO dtrength i can go pretty much 8am-5pm and only losing about 20%.

so i think the greatest impact to battery stregnth on this device other that usage is sretngh of signal reception and evdo/1x connection
