I use about three different ones depending on format I'm converting from, what I'm doing, and how soon I need it. I predominately use Mobiola Studio because I can take .avi files from bittorrent and convert them quickly (about 15min for a full length movie). I strip them down to about 408 fps to get rid of the splotchyness.

If I want to rip a dvd, I'll typically use Xilisoft DVD Ripper Platinum 4 or Blaze Media Pro. Xilisoft seems to be a bit more fluent in the conversion from DVD format to .wmv format. Blaze is cool too, I just tend to use Xilisoft. I think it is only about 5-7 minutes quicker. Blaze tends to use a few more system resources and since I never stop seeding or leeching, it sometimes will degrade my system performance. If you don't have anything running in the background then either will be on par.

Xilisoft or Blaze can be gotten from your favorite BT site. Mobiola is a purchase. I think I paid $29.99 for it through Handmark's website. Well worth the loot IMHO. Mate that with a 16Gb card and you'll be able to carry your music collection, photo collection, and about 21 movies or so. At least that is what I can do. The key is to strip the FPS (frames per second) down to around the 400 range. Since Mobiola has a sliding bar to do this I tend to get it between the 381 and 408 range.
