Yea that's what they told me too, but I don't know that I should believe them. If someone could verify that that is the option I may pick up another XV6800 to use ..then again the Touch Pro (Sprint) looks pretty fine..

This is unrelated, but I won't be surprised when VZW yanks the 6800 here in about a month or so once the Touch Pro gets a foothold. They already yanked the 760 - is it just me or did that bad boy have a short shelf-life.

I dunno if that was because of the recall on software for the i760 or it had a shorter shelf life. Its been off of there for a while now I think.

As I said earlier, it will have to be something groundbreaking (like winmo 7 possibly) to get me to even consider it. For now, it's just me and my 6800 with the 730 on deck as a backup for the foreseeable future.

IF Sprints Touch Pro that Mrailings got working on Verizon doesn't force the data plan seems like that would be the way to go in regards to new phones..but I would still use my i730 anyways. Id' probably switch between them that is IF the data plan wasn't required.

Dominick, weighing it all out, I would say I am glad I jumped to the 6800 - I love having the cam, gps, winmo 6.1, threaded sms (i hate text messaging, but this helps), better keyboard, custom roms, HTC build quality, HUGE 16gb sd card capacity, and yeah just about everything else. If this bad boy had a vert slider, and more ram - it would be my ideal phone.

I DO like the XV6800 and have been looking for good prices on some..but I dunno about that data package thingy..not convinced yet. I actually only need the device handset because I have a full brand new box of accessories. Know anyone selling one? |
