My evil plot to wait until Verizon releases its next wave of smartphones before "upgrading" my 760 to 6.1 has a troubling new wrinkle. According to this link:

Verizon to require $30 data plans for new smartphones (Phone Arena)

Verizon will start requiring data plans with their smartphones on Nov. 14, conveniently one day before Blackberry Storm is released, and not too long before (after?) 770/Saga, 8650/Raphael, and Omnia are released. Doubt they will let me scream my way into a new smartphone without at least demanding an additional 30 bucks a month for internet... AT&T is looking better all the time...
