Thanks to all the recommendations, I purchased my Freedom 2000 to use for a 600 mile vacation. Sure, I could have printed out my typical google maps, but NOW i can also located restaurants and the cheapest gas station to my location!
Paring was easy! Sometimes the map goes white (i can see the arrow -me- and then the map comes back)
Other than that- battery did die after 10 hours of driving, just like advertised. FYI, it was $75 delivered to my door in less than 3 days off of eBay from New York City.
I might try this with Google maps next time, not just WLS.
