Like some people here, I got the "your device is upgraded already" message and am not able to upgrade the phone part of the device. (The PDA updated fine.) When I upgraded the PDA part and restarted, the upgrade tool wouldn't detect the device and asked me to hit the reset button. After manually restarting a few times, it finally detected and that's when I got the "your device is upgraded already" message. I tried the upgrade a few dozen more times (on two different computers) using all the tips and tricks I've seen in this thread. Same result. Just called VZW cust support and had a great experience (really). Connected to a tech immediately (no wait) and after about 2 minutes of discussion, they're sending a new phone. They made reference to my being a 5 year customer and my $250/month bill and said they were sorry for my trouble. When I get me replacemnt phone I'll give it another shot.
