I think the Jawbone as some intelligence between it and the iPhone. For instance, you can control the volume through the iPhone using the side buttons. One thing I wish it had was the battery level indicator the Apple BT has displayed on the iPhone status bar at the top.

Did you buy the jawbone in Scottsdale? How do you like it?
