This was previously posted as a separate post before I noticed this thread. I apologize for reposting, but felt that it was more appropriate to put it here.

I just downloaded PDANet 1.80 and installed it with no problems. I was instantly able to connect to the Internet through my XV6800 on Verizon.

I do have one question, though. When I am not tethering and connect to the Internet from my device I get a message that the phone is dialing #777 and establishing a data connection. I then see the icon at the top of the screen showing that it is transmitting and receiving data.

However, when I use PDANet, I do not see the message telling me it is dialing #777 and the icon does not change to reflect an active data connection. Nevertheless, I am connected and surfing.

Can any of you tell me if this is consistant with what you see on your phone?
