I found out that the connector on the inside of my unit had broken the connection to the main board on my unit. For some stupid reason if the connection is broken between the headset connector and the board the internal speaker will not work. If you can get it to work on your phone do not plug the headset back in. If you do you run the risk of breaking the connection again and not getting it back. That is what happened to me. You would think that the circuit would be designed to force the internal speaker to work if the headset plug is damaged not the other way arround.
