There are 2 methods I know of. One involves modifying the existing connection and the other creates a new connection. Modifying the existing connection is a bit tricky because your Touch is set to revert to default settings and you'd first have to defeat that behavior. I prefer creating a new connection because it preserves the original and makes it easy to switch back and forth. Here's how I do it:


- In "Settings", choose the connections tab.
- Click on the connections icon.
- Click on "add a new modem connection"
- You'll be prompted to enter a name for the connection. It doesn't matter what you use (the default is "My Connection"). Make sure that where it says "select a modem", "cellular line" is selected .
- Click "next".
- You'll be prompted to enter a phone number. Enter "#777" (without the quotes).
- Next, you'll be prompted to enter user name, password, domain. These should all remain blank.
- Click the button labeled "advanced".
- Leave everything in the TCP/IP tab as-is and click on the "servers" Tab.
- Select "Use specific server address" and enter your dns numbers. I'm currently using:
DNS: 68.28.114.91
Alt DNS: 68.28.58.11

- Wins entries should remain blank

- Click ok, and then "Finish".
- If you now click on "Manage existing connections", you should see a list that includes the name of the connection you just created (it should be the one currently selected). If you want to revert to the original settings, just select get back here and select "Sprint PCS".

- Click Ok and then close out of everything. Open the explorer. As soon you try to navigate to a site, you'll be prompted for a user name and password. Leave everything blank and select "remember my password".

Done!
