Ok, Wodin was right.

I downloaded vxutils to see what my DNS server addresses were. What I got was:

Primary DNS: 68.28.122.93
Secondary DNS: 68.28.114.91

I then ran vxutils on my friend's Touch and although her server names were the same, hers were in reverse order ( her secondary was my primary). It seems that the DNS server at 68.28.122.93 is down. When I reversed the order on mine, things went back to normal immediately!
