Did you try changing the IP range to 192.168.1.x from the default of 0. I found that I got the "waiting for network" on a vista laptop ALOT when using the default range. Also Vista has some additional security.
Try deleting the connection setting on your laptop and when you run it make sure you select "trusted connection".
For me personally DHCP allocator works with some laptops some of the time but it seems more stable with it off. My iPod Touch will NOT connect at all with the allocator turned ON. |
