boxwave rubberized review
So, I've had my rubberized case from boxwave for a few weeks so I figured I'd let y'all know how it is...
First, boxwave was great about taking my original ActiveCase back and exchanging it for this rubberized one. Full refund, no restocking fee, very fast and friendly customer service.
That said, the case is not "fully rubber" as one user was asking, and no, it does not work with the extended battery (for that reason I am probably going to pick up the seidio version when it's available -- their site still says "coming soon").
Other than that, this thing is awesome. While not squidgy and rubbery like a silicone case, it is rubberized to the point where I think it would offer less transference of impact if dropped, and it definitely is more grippy than the smooth plastic activecase, so I'm less likely to drop it in the first place.
Buttons operate easily, the phone slides open unencumbered, and the clip holds your belt like a vice-grip. At first I didn't use the clip, but once I put it on for curiosity's sake, I kept it on -- I like to rotate the clip to the vertical position when I have the phone off my belt -- it protects the camera lens.
I still prefer the seidio system's "face-in" holster arrangement, but as the extended battery version and holster that fits a rubberized-cased i760 have yet to hit their website, I'll be sticking with the boxwave, at least for the near future.
