Thumbs up Had mine two weeks and I really like it

I was actively looking for a new handset from VZW that ran WM 6 around the first of the year so when the SMT5800 was announced I jumped at at right away..ordered it on line on Jan 10 and was delivered Jan 14. After two weeks of using it I really, really like this device.

After a couple years as a reasonably happy BB user (7130 tmobile) I was skeptical of WM6 but I must admit that it works really well on this device. Due to a change in jobs I had to move off the BB and onto a WM handset. Getting Outlook to synch including full calendar function was a piece of cake. Also getting my personal mail and text messages on this device in a separate section works a lot better than it did on my BB.

Screen is fantastic for clarity and brightness. Keyboards are really good too. I did have to fiddle with the backlight settings for timeout to keep the alpha keyboard backlighting on while using the browser...otherwise it is impossible to read the red characters that are accessed via the Fn key at night.

Best thing I did was download Opera Mobile as an alternative to IE. Much faster and more flexible for how to view pages.

I added an 8 GB Micro SD as soon as possible and now I'm even happier.

If it matters, be advised there is no flash for the built in 2 megapixel camera despite a statement on VZW website that it has flash.

I give this one a A.
