WPA settings disables WMWifiRouter access point.

Yes it seems when I try and enable WPA in the [Settings>Connections>Wifi] the connection is not visible even if I manually set up the connection.
I do see it available in the list of access points. I "Edit Settings" and then put in a passcode click done or ok.
Am I missing something? __________________
