Many thanks! After repeated problems with USB Modem's product, (only stayed connected for 60 seconds at a time), I uninstalled USB Modem, took the leap and did the registry edit using Resco editor. First time doing that. Feels good to replace a function (BT DUN) that was intentionally disabled in the phone. The Vista drivers work great even though I'm using XP. I'm getting speeds ranging from approximately 1 Mbps with USB cable EV 4 bars and 250 Kbps using BT DUN with EV lighting but no bars showing. Now I feel as though my new XV6800 is pulling its weight.
