If this is what you are talking about I think this deals with the provider paid GPS system. They are probably activating it the same time they are activating EV-DO Rev. A.
What this does is uses wireless towers for triangulation to tell the device where it is. True GPS uses satelites to tell the device where it is.
Guru's correct me if I'm wrong on any of this with the paid GPS system. __________________
