You do not have to check ActiveSync in that link.
After pairing the device (0000), Add a new device and assign a com port in the BT setup:
1) Start/settings/connections/BT... Add new device then check the Com Port tab on the bottom center and choose a com port. It will tell you if you can't use a particular port, so choose another if it does.
2) Then Start/settings/External GPS/Programs: select a port (not the same port as in step 1)
3) Finally, Start/settings/External GPS/Hardware: select a hardware port (use the same com port selected in the first step). Leave the baud rate at 4800.
Seems a bit cumbersome, but it works. Perhaps someone here can explain just what is going on.
I just know enough to be dangerous.
