The TMobile version says it has IR port in the Specs, but in fact, it does not have an IR port.

I agree that IR is an old technology, but some people still use it and it is VERY handy, especially when Bluetooth File Transfer is disabled on these Verizon phones!

As for alternative phones to the xv6800, you could get the Samsung i760, or wait until Palm releases their newer 7xx model, which is doesnt have an antenna
