Dumb question from a WM6 and I760 newbe.

I keep my backups on a 4gb card but lose access to the card after a hard reset. Is there any directories on the i760 that I can place sdhc.cab into that do not get cleared during a hard reset similar to the wm2003 safestore? Otherwise I cannot get sdhc back on the ppc except with a 2gb card or activesync and may not be at my pc.
