Making 4GB card work on PC

I think I figured this problem out. The 4GB micro cards are in HC format. Few of the USB readers for these cards support the HC format. I went to Fry's and tried some in the store. I found the XTRA drive from Media Gear worked ( www.mymediagear.com). It only cost $10. Other readers may work as well, I am not endorsing this one (although it worked for me).
The upshot is that if you are cannot read your card in the computer, make sure your reader supports the new format before deciding that the card is bad.
