Here is an idea I don't recall seeing tried.

-For those of you with a 6GB card and a card reader for your PC, try formatting the file system on the card (which is most likely FAT32) to FAT. Then with the installed patch which allows 4GB functionality, attempt to read the 6GB card.

Just a thought.
