strait answer to a question. If a CSR , Store Mgr, or B2B Rep tell me they
don't know the answer to a question I ask them, I don't have a problem with
that as long as they are truthful with me. But 98% of them will lie or tell
you what they think you want to hear, just to get rid of you.
The 6800 is not a military secret or a CIA secret project. It is not an
exclusive product that VZW has to sell. When you ask a logical question
about the 6800 to people who should be able to answer, why won't they
be honest with you and answer the questions ???????????????
I can ask nine VZW employees about that phone and get nine different
answers at the same store. That needs to change.
And we all know the answer to this too...

They don't announce dates because if there are delays then they get bad PR. They tell their employees to not release dates too... but how many of them stick to that... and even worse... how do they stop them when they are trying to help someone out like a member here that is persistent about getting info? "C'mon man... just give what you have heard... I won't hold you to it" I wonder how many times that has been said? Couple that to the day and age of the net PLUS FCC leaks and you have yourself a real BUZZ that gets created without any official company involvement.

They have gone as far as mentioning officially that it will be out sometime late this year... and according to my calender they are still on schedule.

You can't get 2 out of 10 employees to give you the same info because there is no OFFICIAL info to give so they are all guessing according to what they know (OR DON'T KNOW )

You can let the leaks & rumors and unofficial info get to you... you can get frustrated that the other company has it first but IMHO I believe that there is a reason that we don't have it or know when we will. If it would help Verizon... they would be the first to let us know... that's called capitalism with it's marketing sector firing on all cylinders.

Answer this... (but not emotionally or with bias)

Why would they keep this phone or release info from us if it were ready to go?
