Why not get upset at HTC for selling something to the carriers that have already released them to customers that have ended up having LOTS of problems with them? The phone was not and IS NOT ready to be sold... at least if you value a product that works as advertised without a bunch of bugs. This forum is full of people with issues on this handset and personally I think that Verizon keeps an eye on a place like this; and that... coupled with their own testing has proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that the phone needs things fixed before it is ready for prime time.
It is companies like sprint... known for the worst CS in the industry that need to be held accountable for releasing this crap before a customer can depend on it. They are so desperate to try and cut into Verizon's market that they are willing to cut corners in the quality assurance department just to grab some users looking for the "new hot handset". Maybe it works sometimes because this type of customer OCCASIONALLY does not mind the bugs and will hang out here long enough to find a fix... but seriously....
Think about it for a minute
Do you REALLY think Verizon got as big as it did by "being stupid" as so many have said and not coming out with phones until they are obsolete? Do you REALLY think that they do not have a good reason for releasing something that will generate fresh revenue? Well... if you do... why are you not one of the big shots of the company? You sure make it sound like you know so much more than the powers that be.
This is NOT pointed at anyone in paticular... but then again... maybe everyone. As for me... Verizon has given me years of VERY good service... and I find that increasingly harder to say about companies these days. For me... if they do not have the new hotness out then I am going to trust that there is a good reason. Two things about Verizon that are FACTS...
They have made a LOT of money and have come out on TOP of customer service ratings everytime.... I just don't think a bunch of dummies could do that.

I have used VZW for over 10 years and I have never had a problem with handsets or service that they did not take care of to my satisfaction.
The only thing that frustrates me (and many others ) is not getting a
strait answer to a question. If a CSR , Store Mgr, or B2B Rep tell me they
don't know the answer to a question I ask them, I don't have a problem with
that as long as they are truthful with me. But 98% of them will lie or tell
you what they think you want to hear, just to get rid of you.
The 6800 is not a military secret or a CIA secret project. It is not an
exclusive product that VZW has to sell. When you ask a logical question
about the 6800 to people who should be able to answer, why won't they
be honest with you and answer the questions ???????????????
I can ask nine VZW employees about that phone and get nine different
answers at the same store. That needs to change.
