Both ringer and Voice Command notification audio come from the phone, but that is the other Bluetooth issue because once I answer, sound transfers to the nuvi.
I believe this is because on the headset page of Bluetooth settings (waay to the right...), the nuvi is SET as the handsfree. The design of that headset screen sure makes all this look very intentional by Samsung, BTW.
Where I run into trouble is once I turn on my headphones. First, they turn on in pairing mode because they don't see the partnership they want on the i760. When I go enable stereo headset, the headphones start the pairing process. Once that succeeds, the headphones are marked as a stereo headset and handsfree.
Once I do that, the headphones are the SET handsfree on the headset page. If I shut off the headphones and turn on the nuvi, it will sync contacts then pop up an error that the phone has disconnected (because it's done synching.) That's when I have to force the nuvi to handsfree and I lose the ability to connect the S9 without doing the rain dance.

And this isn't how it should work.....
It worked correctly on the i730. Now the i760 is supposed to be the next generation. But how can they say this if the device is losing functionality?
You are correct, that select your BT device page is BULL!
We all should not stand for this and contact VZW!!!!!!!
It is not Samsungs design it is VZW calling the shots on how to cripple this device.
Are there any lawyers out there that can look into this? How about the lawyers that worked on the other BT class action suit v710 or what ever it was?????????????????
VZW has stepped way over the line with this one.
